South Hageland, with its sunken roads, winding forest paths and Meerdaal forest make the Meerdaal Nature Walk 50 km a real experience for experienced walkers and daredevils.

A selective trail with nature, greenery and forests in the heart of South Hageland makes the Meerdaal Nature Trail 35 km the ideal walk for sporty walkers.

The Meerdaal Nature Kids Trail is the ideal way to get in touch with the largest deciduous forest in Flanders in a playful way with children and the whole family.

All participants will receive a wristband at the start. You must show this proof to the rest zones to receive your supplies..
We provide pick-up in Heverlee station if you call GSM 0496/75.23.51 in advance.
Each distance have its own starting time
All distances starts at Gemeentelijk Ontmoetingscentrum, Bierbeekstraat 8B - 3052 Blanden. The finish must be reached at 17.30 pm at the latest.
On arrival you are welcome as a participant, but also as a supporter in our après-walking café of the Meerdaal Nature Walk.
Participants receive an E-ticket with which they can pick up their participation package on site.
You can pick up the participation package on the day itself from 5 a.m
Parking facilities are provided in the vicinity of the Municipal Meeting Centre. Follow the signs to the parking zones and parking attendants.
Have you never walked a long distance before, but are you dreaming of your first walking marathon or 100 km? No problem, Wandelsport Vlaanderen vzw is happy to help you on your way!
We worked out training schedules from Start to Walk 5 and 10 km and for the long distance walkers there are schedules of 42 and 100 km. The 5 and 10 km build up in 10 weeks, the marathon in 20 weeks and the 100 km in 24 weeks.
